Tonight I tested my MXL Genesis FET vs Blue - Blueberry vs Shure KSM 44. Obviously the differences between the distances of the vocalist and the mics will be SLIGHTLY different (cms max) and the gain is set to the same for all mics, but you get the picture.
Preamps:
Neve Portico 5012 - set to 36 db gain
Buzz Audio Elixir - set to around 36 db gain
My favorite is the combo of the MXL and the Neve.
